  • Make sure your device is powered off before you begin.
  • Flip the laptop over and remove the ten 11 mm Phillips #1 screws securing the back panel.

  • Carefully insert a plastic opening tool under one corner of the back panel.
  • Slide the tool along the seam to gently pry the panel up and away from the device.

Step 3

  • Remove the eight 5 mm Phillips #1 screws securing the fan and copper piece to the motherboard.
  • Remove the wires by gently pulling them out.

Step 4

  • Gently lift the fan up and away from the laptop.
