Introduction
Increasing RAM in your laptop might want to be done to increase multitasking capabilities or to speed up a constant lag in applications. You may also want to replace damaged or burned-out ram causing ‘memory leaks’ or otherwise not being able to perform to its specified capability. Before replacing your RAM it’s best to run a memory test, this is a function most computers have built into the preboot environment and is initiated before the operating system starts. You can find instructions on how to start a memory test in the owner’s manual or by following instructions in the link provided below.
The Random Access Memory (RAM) is a memory device that stores running programs and data information on a computer. Defective ram in your laptop may cause issues such as Frequent crashes, Freezing, and unplanned reboots. If these problems happen when you are running an intensive application, such as a game, then you likely do not have enough RAM or the RAM is too low speed to keep up with the demands of the application. By replacing your RAM, your applications will run better and you will be able to access the applications quicker.
It’s a simple replacement, so you do not need any special skills. However, you need to adjust your finger strength and have a gentle grip because most parts are plastic, so they are easy to break.
What you need
Step 1
Battery Replacement
- Flip the computer upside down. In order to ensure that the correct side is up, you should be able to read the sticker that indicates the serial number on the bottom.
