Even when it is plugged into an outlet, the tablet does not charge.
Check to see if there are any rips in the wire. If capable, you can solder the wire back together, or you can opt to purchase a new wire as a replacement
The obstacle to charging may not be from the device itself , but from the outlet. To be certain the outlet is malfunctioning, use similar technological devices that would require the use of the outlet and see if they lack a source of power as well. If they do, then try using a different outlet. Make sure you try with the ASUS Charger that came with the tablet. It is more powerful than a standard USB charger.
It is possible that the battery is bad. If the tablet only works when plugged into charger, then the battery needs replacement
The screen does not respond to touch and display stays the same.
Plug into an outlet and charge the tablet. It could respond once tablet is charging.
Tablet might be overworked and in need for a reboot. If so, press and hold down the power button for about 10 seconds until tablet powers off.
If reboot does not work, then hold down the volume down button on the left side of the tablet and hold down the power button, at the same time. Keep holding them down until a bootloader screen shows up. Then wait till a prompt comes up on the screen and tells you to press the volume up button to start the factory resetting process. It will completely reset the tablet to a default state.
The camera is failing to load or the Andriod OS is unable to connect to the camera.

Go to Settings and find system updates button. Then follow the prompts to make sure your system is completely up to date.

The battery may just be drained. Plug it into charger and wait a few minutes for it to turn on.
The battery could be bad and only run when it is plugged in. So if the tablet shuts off shortly after unplugging it from the charger, you will need to replace the battery.

If all of the above does not seem to be the issue, your screen could be broken. To check this, plug the tablet into the charger. There is a light next to the power button that shows it is charging. If after a few minutes it does not show anything, then your screen is broken and may need to be replaced.
