Battery
- Make sure you unplugged the laptop before you begin the replacement process.
- Locate the battery locking tabs on the upper right and left corner.
- Press the tabs in towards each other.

- Pull the battery outwards to remove it.

- Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws.

RAM
- Once inside the panel, locate your RAM sticks.

- Push the metal brackets carefully to release and remove the RAM stick .

- Using a Phillips #00, remove the four screws.

- Use a plastic opening tool around the entire edge.
- Separate the case from the keyboard.

- Ensure the laptop is face up for this step.
- Gently lift the keyboard from the base of the laptop.
- Be careful of the ribbon cables connecting the keyboard.

- Gently tug the ribbon cables free from their slots.

- Using both hands, pull the keyboard back and out, fully separating the keyboard from the laptop.

Optical Drive
- Using a plastic opening tool, separate the optical drive from the laptop frame.
- Be careful to leverage the plastic opening tool against the frame and not the motherboard as this may cause damage.

- Remove the optical drive by sliding it out from the case.

- Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the three screws.

- Lift up the ribbon cable connector on the bottom right corner.
- Gently pry the cable away from the connection.

- Remove the 4 pronged connection on the bottom right corner of the motherboard.

- Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the two screws.
- Holding the board firmly with two fingers, pull outward, disconnecting it from the contacts.

- Repeat the previous step and remove the two wired connection next to the card.

- Remove the cable at the top left of the motherboard.
- This cable is held in by a magnetic connection. Be sure to lift up and away when disconnecting.

- Using both hands, lift the motherboard up and out from the case
