- Using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, remove the laptop’s back panel.
- The parts you see underneath that panel are called the laptop’s “internals”.

- The battery will be easily visible towards to top of the internals. It is a long, black rectangle marked “Li-ion”. Notice that the battery is currently secured by three screws. We will need to unscrew them in order to remove the battery.

- You will notice that there are two gold screws and one silver screw holding the battery in place. Using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, remove the silver screw.
- For the gold screws, pliers may be necessary. Be careful not to cut yourself on them; they can be finicky.

- From here, the battery will lift easily out of the laptop.
