Laptop will not activate when Power button is pressed.

Plug the laptop’s charger into the laptop. If the laptop is only able to turn on when it is plugged in, then the battery is the problem and will need a replacement.

Plug the laptop’s charger into the laptop. If the laptop is unable to turn on and the charging light does not light up either, then the charger is the problem and will need a replacement.

Keys will not work when pressed.

If the keyboard is not responding at all. Restart the laptop and run a diagnostic to the BIOS. THe keyboard driver may need to be reinstalled.

If a key won’t budge when pushed down, then there may be something lodged underneath the key. Remove the key and check underneath; if no obstructions are visible, consider wiping the area down before reattaching the key.

The laptop is running abnormally hot and/or is prone to shutting down without warning.

Using your laptop for a long period of time will cause your laptop to overheat. This can lead to damage of the battery. Best solution would be to use it for a shorter amount of time and take breaks.

If your laptop continues to overheat after you started to use it for shorter periods of time then your fan is broken and will need replacement.

The computer seems to be on, but nothing is being displayed on the screen.

If you can’t see anything on your screen, your brightness setting may be too low. All you have to do is turn it up, which you can do with the function F5 key

It may be that the wire connecting the monitor to the rest of the computer has come loose from violent movement, or just not completely plugged in in the first place. To fix this you will have to disassemble your laptop most of the way, as the wire connecting the monitor rest under the keyboard.

Your screen may just be damaged and need replacing all together. You will have to purchase a new one and replace the old one with it, disassembling the laptop most of the way.
