Introduction

Before replacement, make sure your fan doesn’t just need a good cleaning with an ESD-safe brush and compressed air; gunky blades can’t move air efficiently, and often clog with regular use, especially if you have furry pets that like to shed.

If your fan is damaged and not just dirty, it’s likely time to replace it altogether.

It is possible that your fan has stopped working due to physical or electrical damage. A replacement fan will need to be purchased before beginning. After purchasing a new fan follow these steps to replace the broken fan of your ASUS X502CA.

Discharge your battery and unplug your laptop before beginning.
