- Using a T4 Torx screwdriver, remove the ten screws at the marked locations.
- Place the screws into a container as to not lose them.

- Carefully slide your iFixit Opening Tool between the back panel.
- Lift the back plate of your ASUS ZenBook UX31E, and place it to the side.

Battery
- Disconnect the battery from the motherboard by gently pulling up and down on the connector.

- Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws from the middle and the two corners of the battery.
- Place the screws into a container as to not lose them.

Speaker
- Use the plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover of the laptop.
- Remove the bottom panel of the laptop.

- Remove the screw connecting the speaker component to the motherboard using the screwdriver.

- Disconnect the sound cable from the motherboard.

- Using the plastic opening tool, pry open the speaker component from the computer.

- Attach your Anti-Static Wrist Wrap to something metal as to not shock your system.
- Peel back the warranty sticker to reveal the screw under it.
- Using your Phillips #00 Precision Screwdriver, unscrew the screw that you just revealed.

- Using your hand, pull the SSD out from its slot.

- Disconnect the ribbon between the IO and the motherboard on both sides.

- Disconnect the fan connector from the motherboard.
- Pull up the clips on the ribbon connectors.

- Unscrew the two screws that are across each other.

- Using a plastic opening tool, lift the fan off of the laptop.

LCD Screen
- Although replacement guides are listed as prerequisites, they are mainly used for disassembly.
- At the marked locations, unscrew 7 screws with your Phillips 00 Precision Screwdriver.

- Carefully pull out the ribbon connecting your keyboard and motherboard from the motherboard.
- This is a very delicate component, so do handle it with care.

- At the bottom right corner of your laptop, carefully pull the connector from its socket.

- When reassembling, you will hear a pop when connecting these back.

- Slide the display to either the left or right to loosen it.
- Pull the display away from the rest of your laptop.
