Introduction

To fix this issue, you should teardown the left monitor and drill a hole about 1 mm hole in front of the mic.

Step 1

  • Remove the 3 screws holding the left headphone cup together.

  • Separate the three enclosure parts by hand.

  • Drill a hole about 1 - 1.5mm hole.

  • Reassemble the headphone PCB.

Did this last night. Previously, no one could even hear me with the headset’s mic. Afterwards I had a half hour call with my grandmother, walking down a busy street, without issue.

I did find that when you disassemble the ear cup, take the grey part out with the driver. A spudger or pry bar was needed for me.
