This troubleshooting page will help you identify and repair problems with your Behringer Mini Amp 4-Ch Headphone Amp.

Caution: Research possible dangers of repairing this device. This amp may contain a series of large capacitors, which if not dealt with properly may cause harmful risks.

The amp turns on, you plug your headphones into the amp, and instead of hearing what you are supposed to be listening to, the audio is undermined by a rattling sound.

Unscrew the outer casing, identify which screw is loose or has fallen out. Pick the appropriate screwdriver for the said screw and tighten it back into place.

Sometimes loose knobs may interfere with the clarity of the audio. In this case, identify the loose knob and tighten it.

If you unscrew the device, open the amp, lift the circuit board and then realize some wires are not connected to the base of the amp, reconnect them using this guide.

You press the on/off button and nothing happens.

Buttons inside the amp may have fallen off and gone missing and you can no longer change the input or turn the device on or off. Replace buttons using this guide.

The battery no longer has a charge to it and is not powering the device. Replace the battery using this guide.

You do not think that it is the inside of the amp that is broken, but rather, the outside. The break could be a result of dropping the amp, it being broken upon delivery, etc.

You have dropped your amp; the outer casing, as well as additional pieces, have cracked or are completely broken. Make sure that the sharp, broken plastic is not in a position where it will damage internal wires. If it has damaged the wires already, or you think it will eventually, you can use the wires from a new amp to replace the cut ones. If the broken outer plastic is not threatening to damage the actual quality of the amp, you can continue to use your device.

If you can’t repair the knob by simply screwing it back on, previous customers have been known to order a second amp, take it apart, and use said pieces to replace the original ones. Replace the knob using this guide.

I plugged my headphones into the amp and tried to hear what I was listening to, but the audio was muffled.

If you think the problem is minute, try blowing air into the jack to get rid of the dust.

If the problem persists try cleaning the interior of the jack and area around it. Make sure nothing is broken and metal is not cracked or damaged. You can access the connectors by removing the four exterior screws which hold the device together. Separate the two pieces apart, exposing the wires and blue colored circuit-board. Remove the four other screws which can be found at each corner of the circuit-board. Using the flat tip of a screwdriver, pry the circuit board from the outer-casing. This will allow you to access the headphone connectors and clean around it, the inside of it, and inspect it for damage.

As we said above, there is a chance the wires have merely disconnected from the circuit board. If you take apart the amp, and realize the wires are damaged or snapped rather than simply disconnected, they must be repaired or replaced.
