Step 1
              Spark Plug Disconnection               
- Grab the plastic housing at the end of the spark plug wire.
- Pull firmly to disconnect the wire from the spark plug.

Step 2
              Blade               
- Lift to raise the front end of the brush cutter.
- Place a jack stand or other secure support under the deck to prevent the brush cutter from tipping forward.

- Use a 13/16" socket to remove the bolt securing the blade.
- If needed, wedge a wood block between the blade and the deck to prevent the blade from turning.
- During reassembly, make sure the blade is fully seated on the spindle, and use a torque wrench to tighten the bolt to 33-38 ft lbs.

Step 4
- Wear gloves or be careful when handling the blade.
- Remove the bolt and friction washer, and remove the blade.
- Use a new bolt and washer when replacing the blade.
- If the large cylindrical blade adapter falls off the spindle, check to make sure the key is correctly positioned inside the adapter, and then align the key with the notch on the spindle when installing it.

- Use a 3/8" socket or wrench to remove the four 21 mm bolts securing the top cover to the deck.

- Lift and remove the top cover.

- Using a 9/16” socket or wrench, make sure the bolt at the top of the spindle is tight.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
