  • Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the eight screws from the side of the drill.

  • Pull the side case of the drill apart, exposing the internal components.
  • Be sure to keep all of the components in their sockets as you close the drill so that none of the wires get pinched while reassembling.

Step 4

  • Unhook the intermediary gear connecting the drive motor to the chuck by lifting it up, then sliding it to the left of the chuck.

  • Firmly lift the chuck upwards to separate it from the shell of the power drill.

  • Insert the ball joint of the intermediary gear into the bracket attached to the new chuck.

  • Place both the new chuck and intermediary gear into the drill case simultaneously.
