Introduction

The pivot button may need to be removed and checked for contaminants if problems such as jamming of the button occur.

No special skills or tools are required for this disassembly.

What you need

Step 1

              Black and Decker Pivot Plus PD600 Pivot Button Disassembly               
  • Locate the pivot button screw labeled with a lock symbol.
  • Remove the screw with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Step 2

  • Set the screw to the side.
  • Remove both sides of the button from the screwdriver.
  • You will be left with three pieces: a black piece with a lock on the front, a circular orange piece, and a spring.

Set the screw to the side.

Remove both sides of the button from the screwdriver.

You will be left with three pieces: a black piece with a lock on the front, a circular orange piece, and a spring.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
