What you need

Battery
- Place your Blackberry facedown in front of you.

- Press the cover release button on the bottom of your device. Lift and remove the back cover.

- From the top, use your fingernail to lift the battery out.

Rear Case
- Remove the SIM card.

- Remove the six 7.0mm Torx screws securing the rear case to the rest of the phone.

- Use the plastic opening tool to remove the rear case.

Volume Toggle
- Lift out the motherboard assembly using the plastic opening tool, prying at all four sides of the device.
- Try to remove from left to right, using caution with the audio jack on the right side of the device.

- Locate the volume toggle on the main frame of the phone.
- Using the spudger, push the toggle in from the outside and remove.

- Place the new toggle in, using the pointed end of the spudger to attach the toggle to the upper and lower pins.
- Make sure the toggle is completely in place by pressing it outward into the frame.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
