The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will not hold a charge.

Make sure the charger is plugged into both the wall outlet and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 charging port. If the BlackBerry Bold 9900 only powers up when plugged in to the charger, regardless of charging time, then the battery is faulty. Replace the BlackBerry Bold 9900 battery with this guide.

Ensure that your charger is working properly. Make sure the charger is plugged into both the wall outlet and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 charging port. If the BlackBerry Bold 9900 does not power up or begin charging, then the charging port is faulty.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is not able to make or receive calls.

Ensure that the SIM Card is present, and if messages such as, ‘SIM card error’, or ‘SIM card not detected’ are displayed, then the SIM Card is faulty. Try replacing the SIM Card using this guide.

Ensure that the Memory Card is present, and if messages such as, ‘Media Card Error’, or ‘Media Card not detected’ are displayed, then the Memory Card is faulty. Replace the Memory Card with this guide.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 keyboard won’t respond, or keys appear to be missing or broken.

If the entire keyboard fails to respond, try replacing it with this guide.

Make sure all keys are responding when pressed. If some keys are sticking down when pressed, or are unable to be pressed down, try replacing the keys with this guide.

Make sure no keys are missing from the keyboard. If keys are missing from the keyboard, replace the BlackBerry Bold 9900 keyboard here.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will not detect finger movement on the trackpad.

Make sure the cursor is following the movements of the finger. If the trackpad does not follow each finger movement then the trackpad is faulty. Replace the BlackBerry Bold 9900 trackpad with this guide.

Make sure the cursor is following the movements of the finger. If the trackpad is behaving abnormally, and has been recently exposed to any liquids or sticky substances, it is most likely too dirty to track finger movement.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 display is distorted, blurry, or discolored.

Make sure the screen is displaying all images clearly. If the screen shows images that are distorted, blurry, or discolored, then the screen is faulty. Replace the BlackBerry Bold 9900 screen with this guide.

Make sure the screen is clean. If the screen appears slightly dirty, wet, or sticky, then it is possible that some of that muck made its way beneath the screen. Clean beneath the BlackBerry Bold 9900 screen to get rid of the grime.
