              Remove the AC plug

              Open the charger               
  • Open the charger (remove 4 Philips screws)

              Find Resistor R3               
  • Localize resistor R3

Step 4

              Remove circuit board from case               
  • Detach the circuit board from the housing (4 plastic tabs)
  • Caution: Capacitor (150uF/400V) may still be charged!!!

Step 5

              Obtain new resistor               
  • Obtain new 220k Ohm 2W resistor

              Desolder R3               
  • Resistor R3 needs to be desoldered

              Replace resistor R3               
  • Solder resistor R3 in place

Follow the steps in reverse order to reassemble the device
