Step 1

              Battery               
  • Use a little hot air to soften the glue holding the two halves together. Then you can gently separate the halves.
  • Beware applying too much heat over the speaker grill as it will start to sag if it gets too hot.

  • Opposite end, do the same.
  • The crack was already there, thankfully I didn’t make it worse. A little super glue fixed it.

  • Note the existing battery placement.
  • Note the old hot glue points.

Step 4

              Carefully desolder the two battery terminals.               
  • Note polarity of terminals.
  • Old battery size is 4.8 mm high, 12 mm wide, 21 mm long. .

Step 5

              Install new battery               
  • New battery is 5 mm High, 12 mm wide and 20 mm long. It fit nicely.
  • Carefully solder new battery leads to correct polarity terminals on the circuit board.

Step 6

              Glue the case back together.               
  • Place a small dab of hot glue at each end of the case.
  • Gently snap the case back together .
