Introduction

A good time to replace both batteries is when you notice the remote control not operating how it should or it seems to be slower and requiring multiple attempts to use the controls. We recommend you use Alkaline batteries because they will last longer and provide more energy to your remote control.

In order to replace your Bose Solo 5 Soundbar remote batteries, you will need two AA batteries.

Step 1

              Remote Batteries

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote by applying pressure with fingers and sliding downward.

Remove both AA batteries carefully.

Look for any battery acid corrosion in the wells and clean with a cotton swab or a dull pointed tool to remove the residue.
Insert two AA (IEC-LR6) 1.5V batteries or the equivalent.
Match the + and – symbols on the batteries with + and – markings inside the compartment.

To reassemble your device, place the cover back over the batteries by lining up the teeth and sliding upward until you hear a click.
