What you need

Step 1

              Thermal Fuse               
  • Unplug your device before proceeding with the disassembly.
  • Place the toaster upside down and remove the two Phillips screws on either side of the handlebar.
  • Remove the two Phillips screws under the handlebar.
  • Remove the handlebar from the toaster.

Step 2

  • Remove the 4 Phillips screws connecting the bottom housing of the grill to the heating element.
  • Remove the 2 triangle screws connecting the cable cover to the bottom of the grill.
  • Remove the cable cover.

Remove the cable cover.

Step 3

  • Loosen the wire connectors by gently squeezing them with the pliers.
  • Pull the cables out of the wire connectors.
  • Don’t use force while pulling out the wires. If you cant get the cables out, try to squeeze the connectors again with the pliers.
  • Lift up and remove the bottom of the grill.

Step 4

  • Simultanously press down the clip and pull the red wire to disconnect the red wire from the heating element.
  • Gently pull the red cable including the heat resistant tube out of the cable holder.

Step 5

  • Pull the heat resistant tube off of the thermal fuse.
  • Cut the wire on both ends of the thermal fuse.

Step 6

  • Put both ends of the cable and the thermal fuse into the connection tube.
  • Squeeze the connection tube tight using the pliers (make sure the cables are not able to disconnect from the connection tube).
  • Do the same thing on the other end of the thermal fuse.

Do the same thing on the other end of the thermal fuse.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
