Step 1

              Remove the carafe.
  • Remove the carafe from the coffee maker.
  • Set the carafe aside.

              Open the filter basket.
  • Grab the ridge on the left side of the coffee maker.
  • Rotate the filter basket to the right.

Step 3

              Remove the filter basket housing.
  • Grab the filter basket firmly and lift upwards. You may need to use one hand to hold the body of the coffee maker in place in order to remove the piece.

Step 4

              Loosen the filter basket from its housing.
  • Wedge the plastic opening tool between the filter basket and its housing.
  • Be sure to wedge the tools close to the tab on the right side of the housing.
  • Wiggle tools to loosen the housing from the filter basket.

Step 5

              Remove the filter basket from its housing.
  • Once the filter basket has been pried loose, grab the filter basket and lift it out of the housing.

How do you replace the pin in between the coffee carafe and water basket??
