Step 1

              Open the plastic enclosure               
  • Put the mixer in a vise as shown in picture and gently press it. You can use plastic vise jaws to avoid scratching the case.
  • Increase the vise pressure and pull the handle until it pops out. It is important to apply the correct pressure to release the plastic hooks.

Step 2

              Open the gearbox               
  • Unlock the gearbox cover using a T15 torx key
  • Remove the gearbox cover by pressing it as show in the picture

Step 3

  • Pull the central gear to remove it from the crankshaft. In the picture you can see the crack in the gear that was causing excess noise.
  • Replace the gears with the spare parts. The central gear needs to be inserted with some force on the crankshaft. A small hammer can be used to get the central gear in place.

Step 4

  • Put the gearbox cover back in place with the torx screws.
  • Push the plastic enclosure back in place. Press gently until it clicks in place.
