Introduction

Step 1

              Toner Cartridge

Pull the center paper tray extender to expose the drum unit.

Gently pull the drum unit out of the printer at a slight incline angle.

Step 3

Push down on the lever lock to unlock the cartridge from the drum unit.
Remove the cartridge from the drum unit and recycle it.

Step 4

Unpack the new toner cartridge from its packaging.
Gently shake the cartridge to evenly distribute the toner throughout the printer transfer roller.

Step 5

Remove protective cover enclosing the printer transfer roller
AVOID CONTACT WITH PRINTER TRANSFER ROLLER. This could potentially damage the device.
Insert the new cartridge in the drum unit.
A click should be heard to acknowledge the toner cartridge has been fitted properly.

Step 6

Clean the corona wire with the slide tab near the front side of the drum unit by sliding it left and right several times.
Return the slide tab back to its original position before continuing.

Step 7

Insert the drum unit with the new toner cartridge attached at a slight incline back into the printer.
Remember to have the drum unit pushed in enough for the front cover to be able to close.
You have now successfully completed replacing the toner cartridge for your Brother DCP-L2540DW Printer.

I have done this process and the printer is still telling saying that we need to put in toner?? Can not figure out why?? Any help??
