Introduction

To remove the white document mat, you must:

  • Carefully rip out the foam that’s glued onto the cover.Glue in the replacement document mat.

  • Open up the top of your Canon CanoScan N670U to this position.

  • The document mat is taped on to these four corners of the cover. These spots will be where we’ll start removing the mat.

Step 3

  • Gently peel the tape on each corner of the mat using your hands or an iFixit Tech Knife.
  • Be careful to not rip the foam while peeling.

  • Tape in your replacement document mat back onto the top cover of the scanner.

To reassemble your device, ensure that the white document mat is firmly glued on.
