“I hold the power button down, but nothing happens!”
Remove the battery to force shut down.
“My camera keeps turning itself off!”
If so, your lens is most likely not fully opening or closing due to damage. You will need to replace the lens/zoom unit. See our replacement guide
“Ugh, the lens is dirty!”
First try to use compressed air to blow any particles off of the lens.
Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the lens. “Do not scrub!”
“I turn off the camera, but my lens is still open and out!”
“I turn my camera on, but my lens won’t open up all the way!”
Follow the cleaning instructions above to try to remove the dust/debris.
“I keep seeing a black spot on my pictures!”
There is most likely dust on CCD Image Sensor. You will need to open up your camera to get the dust out, see our replacement guide to get there
Most likely, a pixel is out. You can ignore it, or replace the screen using our replacement guide
