“I just got my camera and I tried turning it on, but it won’t turn on?”
“Every time I go to charge my camera it doesn’t hold a charge and my battery seems to constantly be drained.”
- The battery is not initially charged in a new camera, so in order to charge the battery at any time, do the following:
Step 1: After lining up the up-facing triangle marks on the battery and its charger, insert the battery by pushing it in diagonally then pushing it down.
Step 2: For a CB-2LV battery, flip out the plug and plug it into an outlet for charging. For a CB-2LVE battery, plug the power cord into the charger and plug the other end into an outlet.
Step 3: The charging light will turn orange when the charging begins, then turns green when the battery is fully charged. When the battery is fully charged, unplug it and remove the battery from its charger by pushing it and up.
- To prevent charging issues, do not charge the battery for more than 24 hours. Also, do not attach the charger or cord to other objects, as this can also cause charging issues in the future. Always charge the batteries before using the camera, since batteries gradually lose their charge throughout the day. Also, always use a commercially available adapter for the plug.
